Originally. planned for Thanksgiving day, due to COVID-19, The Turkey Trot will now be held virtually.  Remember when I first reported on this October 26?

I know a number of runners that will be overjoyed to hear this news!   A long running Thanksgiving tradition will be back on Thursday, November 26th.  It was my great pleasure to have the Cystic Fibrosis Association of North Dakota's Development Director Pam Thompson join me in the radio studio on Monday morning to share this great news with everyone.

I'll be talking with Pam again tomorrow morning but without the gaggle of good news. Will a virtual Turkey Trot be as much fun without thousands of your friends and neighbors all freezing their feathers together?

No it will not.

If you've already registered, your entry has been automatically transferred to a virtual run ,and you can upload results all the way through December 4th.  But honestly, this is the Cystic Fibrosis Associations biggest area fundraiser of the year...here's from their Facebook page..

This has been a heartwrenching decision to make, but the health of our community is our highest priority.
We encourage you to still sign up for the Virtual Turkey Trot with friends and family. We STILL want to see your Turkey Costumes. We STILL want to see families having fun together. This year we just have to do it even farther than 6 feet apart.
The Turkey Trot is our largest fundraiser to help our friends with Cystic Fibrosis--and it is our sincere hope that we still have great participation levels! If you upload your run time to the registration site by December 4--you can even be eligible for prizes (and fame, mostly fame!)

So go run, walk, or maybe just sit...just give what you can to an organization that is helping so many breathe easier in this breath-taking time.

Stay well turkey trotters.
