A Bismarck man already under arrest on drug charges is now facing more counts after officers discovered that the vest he was wearing in jail was laced with meth.

According to The Bismarck Tribune, Marcus Shaw was in custody, on drug charges, when he began complaining of stomach pains. Shaw was en route to the emergency room when he escaped custody.

Authorities found him at a motel and arrested him again. Once he was at the detention center, officers discovered that the vest Shaw was wearing had two bags of meth hidden inside it.

Shaw is now charged with felony drug and paraphernalia possession, escape, tampering with evidence, and possession of a controlled substance.

Here's a thought. If you're going to jail on a drug charge and you manage to escape, why not try and ditch your meth-laced vest while you're on the run...?
