According to KFYR-TV, a police situation, where a suspect was trying to get detained by the Bismarck Police department, ended up with a 41-year-old man being run over by a car.

According to witnesses, the incident took place at a house, near a residence in the city on East Avenue D, Wednesday night. (April 25)

The suspect was backing his car when he hit another car, which was in back of his car, then he drove forward, and again, he drove backwards. It was when he drove back again, he hit the man.

The suspect then drove a short distance and abandoned the car and ran away on foot.

The  injured man was pulled under the car and was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident is under investigation, and the information was sent to the State's Attorney's office for charges.
