Rookie Jordan Howard carried 26 times for 153 yards and a touchdown, and the Bears upset the Minnesota Vikings, 20-10, in Chicago on Monday night. The Bears’ defense spearheaded the victory, sacking Sam Bradford five times and holding Minnesota (5-2) to just 258 yards of offense.

Making his return to the starting lineup for the first time since injuring his thumb in Week 2, quarterback Jay Cutler threw for 252 yards and a score for Chicago (2-6).

Cutler connected with receiver Alshon Jeffery three times for 52 yards and a touchdown. After their third quarter end zone hookup, the Bears took a 20-3 lead that all but guaranteed a win against the suddenly ordinary Vikings.

Bradford threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Stefon Diggs with 5:41 left that made the final score closer than the game actually was.
