WHEN: Friday, October 29, 2021 at 7:00 PM

WHERE: 1603 E Main Ave, Bismarck

It is a rare opportunity to get to see a good comedy show in North Dakota.

If you have never seen stand-up comedy live, I highly recommend taking in a show. I have always been obsessed with shows like concerts and plays, but live stand-up comedy is truly my favorite type of show. I had to learn that when I lived in Denver, because, unfortunately, living in North Dakota for the first 23 years of my life did not afford me much opportunity to take in a comedy show.

It was not until I got out of North Dakota that I realized my obsession for live stand-up comedy. I have seen shows from some comedy icons - Adam Sandler, David Spade, Norm MacDonald, Pauly Shore, Roseann Barr, and Jim Gaffigan to name a few of my favorites. And at many of those shows, I saw incredible local comedians. Every show I have seen has been a unique and hilarious comedy event.

Since stand-up comedy is not like a typical show or event, here are a couple of personal tips for enjoying live stand-up:

  • If you are sitting close and appear to be disinterested or confused, prepare for the possibility of getting roasted.
  • If you want to heckle the entertainment, prepare for the possibility of getting roasted.
