The Minnesota Vikings have the 5th toughest schedule in the entire league coming up in 2021, according to a show I saw on the NFL Network last night.  Your favorite football team and mine sure didn't get any love from the NFL in the scheduling department.  Most of it, is the luck of the draw, but despite the Vikings 7-9 record last season and getting the 3rd place schedule, it's still a very difficult draw.

Minnesota will play each team in a pretty good AFC Central Division, They'll also play each team in the NFC West, which is another juggernaut.  The Vikings will play the other 3rd place teams from last season in the NFC, Carolina on the road and Dallas at home.  The NFL also added a 17th game to the season and the Vikings will face the 3rd place team from the AFC West the San Diego Chargers.

The Vikings will be featured on 4 prime-time games including October 31st Halloween/Sunday night football against Dallas at home.  They will also play Pittsburgh at home on Thursday, December 9th.  The Vikes have one Monday night game on December 20th at Chicago and another Sunday Night game at Green Bay on January 2nd.  However, the Vikings could be flexed out of that game if they're out of playoff contention at that point, which is a possibility.  It sure doesn't help that Minnesota has to start the season off on the road for it's first two games of the season either, at Cincinnati and at Arizona.  Yikes, we could be setting up for another 7-9 season or worse.  Here's the complete schedule.
