Avast, ye rock 'n' roll mateys, for the 2016 Monsters of Rock Cruise will crowd its biggest-ever lineup on board when it sets sail next Feb. 22 with a roster of headlining acts that includes Tesla, Steve Vai, Queensrÿche, Sebastian Bach and Extreme.

Those are just a handful of the more than 40 acts that have been confirmed for the voyage, which has been dubbed "Shredders From the Deep" and will embark from Miami on the NCL Pearl for a four-day, four-night voyage that promises to "transport fans back to the era when metal wasn’t just a music genre, it was a way of life."

Passengers can look forward to a schedule of events that includes Q&A sessions with the artists, hosted by Eddie Trunk and Don Jamieson from That Metal Show, as well as meet and greets and a list of activities such as "Monsters Rock 'n' Roll Formal," "Monster Gong Show Karaoke," "Rock Star Dating," "Cooking with Rock Stars" and a "'So You Think You Can Shred' Guitar Competition."

Guitarists on board can also take part in free guitar clinics hosted by an array of famous players, including Vai, UFO's Vinnie Moore (UFO), George Lynch and Ozzy Osbourne band member Gus G. According to spokesperson Larry Morand, the clinics are part of what makes the Monsters of Rock Cruise so unique.

"The clinics are designed to give our passengers the opportunity to hone their guitar skills in an up close and personal experience with some of rock’s greatest shredders," explains Morand in a press release. "Fans don’t just watch the artist perform, they make music with the artists."

Double-occupancy cabins on the trip start at $999, and include additional activities such as a pair of complimentary pre-parties on Feb. 20 and 21. For further pricing and additional information, visit the official Monsters of Rock Cruise site.
