Your electric bill is about to go up.

In a press release issued Friday by the North Dakota Public Service Commission (PSC), it states that the PSC has approved a 3.7 percent revenue increase for Montana Dakota Utilities.

Originally MDU requested an increase 6.6 percent.

According to the PSC, customers will see an average of a $4.50 increase on their bill each month which amounts to $54 per year.

The release states that the basic service charge customers see on their bill will increase anywhere between 11 cents to 46 cents per day.

The average increase to your yearly bill is equivalent to nine medium snow cones from Mo's Snow Shack and about 186 comet goldfish from PetSmart.
