The Eagles dropped to 5-8 following a heartbreaking loss to the Redskins on Sunday.

Once again, the Philadelphia offense relied heavily on Wentz who attempted 46 passes. He completed 32 of them for 314 yards, a big touchdown at the end of the first half, and one interception.

Washington took a 27-22 lead with time winding down in the fourth quarter and Wentz was given an opportunity to lead his team down the field for a game winning drive.

Wentz had a similar opportunity earlier in the season against the Lions but Wentz threw an interception on the final drive to seal the victory for the Lions.

Against Washington, Wentz started at his own 25 and had 1:53 with one timeout to drive his team down the field. Wentz led his team down to the Redskins 14 yard line and then on second and 10, Wentz was sacked, fumbled the football, the Redskins recovered and that sealed the game.

Washington secured a 27-22 victory. It was the second time this year Philadelphia fell to Washington. Wentz completed only 11 passes in their prior matchup.

The Eagles play the Ravens next week.
