On Thursday, the University of North Dakota hockey team unveiled their new uniforms for the upcoming season. A University of Denver Athletics blogger has struck back.

Earlier today, we posted about the newly revealed UND hockey uniforms. A Twitter account with the handle @LetsGoDU decided to make a parody out of the UND jersey announcement.

The Twitter account describes itself as:

"...a University of Denver Athletics blog tailored for and by Pioneers|*Unaffiliated with the University of Denver*"

Obviously, the University of Denver is looking to ruffle some feathers with the Fighting Hawks. The teams will meet four times this year and you can bet that with these two traditional hockey powerhouses, there's certain to be some bad blood amongst the teams.

As all UND fans will remember, in the Frozen Four of 2016, the Fighting Hawks beat Denver, 4-2 to advance to the national championship, which UND eventually won. This year, Denver beat Minnesota-Duluth, 3-2 in the national championship.

The first meeting for UND and Denver will take place November 17-18 in Denver, CO. The Fighting Hawks will get them at Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks on January 26-27 of 2018. You can bet this rivalry will only continue to get more and more heated as time passes.
