Monday, May 4th a ground breaking ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Eagles Park at 100 14th St. N.E., in Mandan. The playground is designed for children with all abilities and is set to be open this fall.

The playground will feature: a zip line, a seesaw with four high-backed seats, a quiet, cozy dome for kids who need a break from the action, roller table that encourages kids to engage their arm muscles, sensory, fitness components, sling swings, full bucket swings and molded support swings with pull-over harnesses, plus an updated version of a traditional merry-go-round that allows easy transfer from a wheelchair.

Igoe Park, located at  2413 Tyler Pkwy. in Bismarck, will also add features for children with disabilities with a fire hall station theme, a transfer station for children to move from their wheelchairs to the play equipment, a ramp system, two slides and four interactive panels, including one in Braille.
