Mail on Sunday? Whoops! Actually, it's no mistake. The U.S. Postal Service is opening offices on Sunday and deliver packages across the affected areas of the blizzard that hit earlier this week.

Since Mother Nature wasn't exactly the regions best friend this week, many deliveries didn't see their recipients. In response, the U.S. Postal Service will be delivering packages, but not regular mail, in hopes of honoring their commitment to the communities affected, especially during this holiday season.

Areas with zip codes beginning with the following three digits: 565, 567, 580, 582, 583, 584, 585 and 587 will receive their packages Sunday, if in fact they've been on the waiting end for them. Several smaller communities in the impacted areas will keep their post offices open for full service. Hours may vary.
