Three former University of North Dakota and current NHL hockey stars will play in the 2016 World Cup of Hockey in Toronto later this year.

According to UNDSports.com, forwards T.J. Oshie and Zach Parise will suit up for the United States, while Jonathan Toews will hit the ice for Canada.

Oshie played for UND for three seasons, between 2005 and 2008, scoring 59 goals in 128 games. He is currently a member of the Washington Capitals, though he started his NHL career with the St. Louis Blues, where he spent seven seasons.

Parisé played for UND for two seasons, between 2002 and 2004, racking up 49 goals in just 76 games. He spent his first seven seasons with the New Jersey Devils, before joining the Minnesota Wild before the 2012-13 season.

Like Parisé, Toews spent just two seasons at UND, between 2005 and 2007. While there, he scored 40 goals in 76 games. He joined the Chicago Blackhawks during the 2007-08 season and has spent his entire professional career there.

All three players have also suited up for their country in the Olympics, with Toews winning gold in both 2010 and 2014.

The 2016 World Cup of Hockey begins September 17th and will feature teams from eight countries, including the United States and Canada. The games will be played at the Air Canada Centre, the home of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

All of the tournament games will be broadcast on ESPN, according to NHL.com.
