Across the state, there are 40 events planned to help raise awareness about K-12 school choice as 'National School Choice Week' is January 22-28.

Events throughout the state are independently planned. Such events are open houses, information sessions, pep rallies, movie screenings, and policy discussions.

School Choice Week is meant to bring awareness so that children are provided with effective education options. Families have the opportunity to evaluate the K-12 options for their children for the next school year.

The independent public awareness effort highlights the options children are provided with in education, such as public schools, public charter schools, private schools, magnet schools, and homeschooling.

Such examples of where School Choice Week is taking place are in Lincoln and Edinburg in North Dakota, where they've made official proclamations to recognize the week.
