There is a list of states in the country that are the least visited states in the country and North Dakota is on that list.

ND.Gov

Thrillist produced a list of the least visited states in the country, according from data compiled from the tourism bureaus from across the nation. Some of the states on this list include North Dakota and-

  • Idaho
  • New Mexico
  • Minnesota
  • Arkansas
  • Alabama
  • Rhode Island

You can see the entire list here.

Thrillist came up with the best reasons to visit each of these non-popular tourist attraction states.

The reason Thrillist published for North Dakota was the natural beauty of the Peace Garden State including the 63 national wildlife refuges, 13 state parks and the largest buffalo and museum in Jamestown.

Though, the above are good reasons to visit North Dakota, I can think of more and better reasons. Award winning fishing, hunting, the State Fair and beautiful spring, summers and falls. Winter is the debatable.
