The Bismarck Depot has been a mainstay of the downtown landscape of the city for 117 years and is once again, going on the market.

Dale Zimmerman told KFYR that the Bismarck Depot has undergone $3 million worth of renovations after previously having structural issues as the building seemed to be caving in on itself.

Through the next sale of the Bismarck Depot, Edwinton Brewery will remain open. Zimmerman has plans to lease the brewery location from the new owner. He and his wife originally had plans to turn the property into a green space for the Bis-Man community. Zimmerman told KFYR his plan for the building going forward:

We feel the best way to get this master plan off the ground is to sell the block of land and the building to someone else, a foundation or charity, so they can continue the work on the outside.

After the renovations, the building is expected to last at least another 100 years.
