Texas Teacher Sentenced to 5 Years After Orgy with Students

When will teachers learn...having sex with students is NEVER a good idea. A former teacher in Texas has been sentenced to five years in prison after she was found guilty of having sex with five students in her home. F-I-V-E.

Brittni Colleps was convicted on 16 counts of having an inappropriate relationship between a student and a teacher, which is a relatively new law in the state of Texas. Here's the thing, though...All of the students involved were 18 years old. Three of them testified during the trial and said that at no point did they feel like they were victims and they did not want their teacher prosecuted. Unfortunately for Colleps, the opinions and ages of the students didn't matter because a teacher having sex with students is still a crime.

If you ask me, the real crime here is that Colleps was having sex with these students while her husband was serving in the military overseas. If you want to charge her with a crime...charge her for being a heartless trollop...not for having sex with students.

Colleps faced 2-20 years in prison, per count, so only getting five years seems a bit light.
