The Fox Future Classic this week is from a band that I'm sure no one really expected to be successful because they're fronted by an actor. Most actors-turned-musicians are awful...I'd write a list but it's way too long. Jared Leto, though, has actually managed to break the mold and become a force in rock music. Last year an Oakland University (Mich.) student was suspended and severely reprimanded for writing an essay titled 'Hot for Teacher' and turning it into the teacher he was hot for. Now 57-year-old Joseph Corlett is suing members of the University and the Board of Trustees for violating his right to free speech and free expression. He wants $2.2 million.

Billy Idol has added 19 dates to his summer 2013 itinerary. The 'White Wedding' singer was previously announced as a Bonnaroo performer, and now he's scheduled shows across the country around that June 15 date in Tennessee. Tickets for many of the dates go on sale this Friday (March 22).

Metallica aren't sure when their next album will be out, but James Hetfield can promise that it will be a diverse collection of songs. In a new interview, the singer suggests that, true to form, fans can expect the unexpected when they finally get around to creating the follow-up to 2008's 'Death Magnetic.'

Newly-selected Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Heart will join forces with Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience for a 2013 summer tour that will feature them together onstage for a 30-minute Led Zeppelin tribute to close out each show.

David Lee Roth has been securely back in the Van Halen camp for over five years now, but he says that doesn't mean the band members are done arguing with each other, as they've apparently done since the moment they formed: "The conflict was immediate and sustained from day one. Not a note of this symphony has changed."

Festival season just got a great new addition, as a number of top rock bands will add San Antonio to their itinerary in late May. The inaugural Bud Light River City Rockfest will take place on the grounds of the AT&T Center in San Antonio on May 26th with Guns N' Roses and Alice in Chains serving as the day's headliners.
