Monday morning (Apr. 27), Burleigh and Morton county lifted the burn ban that has been in effect since April 20th due to extremely dry conditions around the counties. Both counties still remain under the total burn ban issued by Gov. Dalrymple earlier this month.

More than half of North Dakota is in the “extreme” category of the fire danger index - including Morton County, which declared a "burn ban" Friday. Burleigh and Emmons Counties have also issued burning restrictions.
With the warmer Spring temperatures here so is a burn ban... When enjoying the great outdoors I do enjoy a good bonfire but Burleigh county was just added to the nine county burn ban list on Monday.
