Alice in Chains

The lineup for the 2013 Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival was announced this morning (April 22), and the headliners are Alice in Chains and Jane's Addiction, two '90s alt-rock goliaths who are still going strong.

The Fox Future Classic this time around is from one of my favorite bands: Alice in Chains. This is the second video from AIC's new album, "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here", and it is for the song "Stone".

One of the knocks on the grunge scene of the 1990s was that its musicians took themselves way too seriously. However, Seattle's Alice in Chains, one of the defining bands of the genre, are looking to refute that charge thanks to a new video promoting their upcoming release, 'The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here,' which features a handful of classic rockers appearing as themselves.

Rock on the Range is like three days in heaven for a rocker like you – classic bands like Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and Smashing Pumpkins meet some of the best bands of the last ten years, like Stone Sour, Korn, and Three Days Grace in a powder keg of rock.

Seattle will be well represented whenever Heart enters the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next month. It was previously revealed that Soundgarden's Chris Cornell would induct the classic rock band, and now it has been announced that fellow Seattle music vets Jerry Cantrell from Alice in Chains and guitarist Mike McCready from Pearl Jam will perform with Heart at the induction ceremony.

Alice in Chains have unveiled the official release date, cover art and track listing for their fifth studio album, 'The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here.' The new Alice in Chains disc will become available on May 28 (not May 14, as previously reported), and guitarist Jerry Cantrell has offered some interesting insight on the concept behind the disc's name and its title track.

Festival season just got a great new addition, as a number of top rock bands will add San Antonio to their itinerary in late May. The inaugural Bud Light River City Rockfest will take place on the grounds of the AT&T Center in San Antonio on May 26th with Guns N' Roses and Alice in Chains serving as the day's headliners.

Leading up to the second anniversary of late Alice in Chains bassist Mike Starr's death, friends and family in the Seattle area are banding together to stage a memorial show to celebrate his life and legacy.

Rocklahoma -- the name says it all and this year the headliners definitely live up to the festival's moniker. Organizers for the festival have rounded up Guns N' Roses, Alice in Chains and Korn to headline the three-day music weekend May 24-26 at the "Catch the Fever" Festival Grounds in Pryor, Oklahoma.

Alice in Chains and some of their musical friends are big on the charitable spirit during the football season, launching their own fantasy football league with each team playing for a particular cause.
