So the last couple of nights have seen really good storms happen and while people seem to not like it. I love it.

Sleeping during the rain is a favorite pastime of mine. There's nothing like curling up in bed hearing the pitter patter of the raindrops on your windowsill or air conditioner. So like most things that happen in life, I find myself investigating why that is so.

According to SBS.com the pitter patter the drops make are called pink noise that processes at lower volume but at high frequency and that sound communicates with our brain lulling it to sleep and decreasing activity.

The Fresh smell that wafts in through the open window during a thunderstorm is a smell of Ozone ( or fresh bed sheets ). That smell is extremely soothing to the brain as well as lavender would be.

Judging by the research studies I've seen, I'm glad I'm not the only one that reacts to rain this way and by the look of the weather today, it looks like we're going to be seeing some more thundershowers tonight!

Time to Curl up!
