Steve Vai is supporting the recent 25th anniversary reissue of his Passion and Warfare LP with a tour.

The tour, which includes a run of fall dates taking Vai through North America, kicked off July 20 in Palma, Spain, and is currently scheduled to continue until early November — though the press release announcing the dates makes it clear more shows will be announced soon.

As previously reported, the 25th anniversary edition of Passion and Warfare boasts remastered versions of the original tracks as well as a bonus LP, titled Modern Primitive, consisting of previously unreleased material written and recorded during the Warfare era. While announcing the tour, Vai expressed his gratitude for the positive feedback he's already gotten from fans since the reissue's June 24 arrival.

"The enjoyment that the band is having and the audience response to the shows we are playing in Europe has taken us a bit by surprise," said Vai. "The collective support for the PAW 25th, Modern Primitive and this show is humbling. There is deep appreciation from us in having the opportunity to honor this record with this tour and we are smiling every moment of it."
