Sammy Hagar Announces 'At Your Service' Live DVD

Looking for a little Red Rocker in your Black Friday? Sammy Hagar is happy to oblige.

Hagar has announced the impending release of At Your Service, a new live DVD culled from the same tour that fed into his recent two-CD live set. Due Dec. 18, the DVD will be available for pre-order Nov. 27 at a discounted price, as part of an "exclusive holiday bundle" being offered through Hagar's official site.

The At Your Service DVD offers performance and behind-the-scenes footage from Hagar's concerts with his band the Circle, which finds him playing alongside longtime guitarist Vic Johnson, Chickenfoot bassist Michael Anthony and drummer Jason Bonham to deliver a set list that offers a cross-section of hits from Hagar's solo career and tours of duty with Montrose and Van Halen — as well as a couple of Led Zeppelin classics in honor of Bonham's father.

As Hagar told Ultimate Classic Rock earlier this year, the At Your Service packages could end up serving as an appetizer for a studio album at some point. "I want to make a really ethnic, rootsy, American music record," he mused. "I want to be like a hard rock version of the Band. I do not want to make a metal record like what we’re playing in our classic stuff — and I don’t want to be a hard rock band in the studio. I have this feeling and this idea and I’m really anxious to experiment with acoustic instruments, but big heavy drums, almost what Zep did, you know, how they always had that acoustic stuff going ... kind of a record more like that."
