It was my first Fourth of July and what a day it was!

So much fun playing music and being involved in The Mandan Parade all morning, then being able to shoot some fireworks at night. By the way, Mandan really likes to shoot fireworks huh?

I've never seen anything like it in my life. Driving from Bismarck which was very quiet and orderly to a place that was just a monster party was pretty cool as well. Here are some of the things I learned yesterday:

  • Shooting fireworks are very addicting. After my third visit to the fireworks store after shooting roman candles off in my driveway, I realized I was hooked!
  • The Mandan parade was not long at all. Once we got going, the parade route was pretty smooth, and there were so many people. Great to see all the texts I got from people seeing us in the vans.
  • Driving down the strip at midnight was a blast, fireworks on the left and fireworks on the right. It was like I was in the Rose Bowl parade. Made me want to shoot more off.
  • Next time you go to the fireworks store, get the Willow. That's one hell of a rocket show once lit.

Great night!
