Will there be another Guns N' Roses album? Guitarist Richard Fortus thinks so and expressed as much back in December. Now the musician is also revealing a timeline for when work will start on said album.

Speaking with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the guitarist stated, "Slash is on tour right now. Once he gets back from that, we’re gonna get some more recording done and hopefully get an album out soon. And then we’ll get back to touring." Slash released the Living the Dream album with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators last year, and they currently have dates booked through Aug. 13 in Orlando, Fla.

Back in December, Fortus told St. Louis station, KSHE-FM, "We’re going to try and do another record and get it out soon." Fortus went on to state, "I think it will happen faster than you think. I sure hope it happens faster than you think," and he later offered the possibility that there might be some new music released before the end of 2019.

Guns N' Roses completed the "Not in This Lifetime" tour last year, with the trek becoming one of the most successful tours of all-time. The tour found Axl Rose reuniting with Slash and Duff McKagan from the band's heyday, and filling out the lineup with Fortus on guitar,  longtime keyboardist Dizzy Reed, drummer Frank Ferrer and multi-instrumentalist Melissa Reese. The band's last album was 2008's Chinese Democracy.
