North Dakota State began their Missouri Valley Conference schedule with a 28-7 win over South Dakota State in Brookings on Saturday, October 3rd.

This was the 12th meeting for the Dakota Marker. NDSU has won the last six meetings in which the Dakota Marker was on the line.

The Bison were led by quarterback Carson Wentz, who threw for 183 yards and one touchdown in the win. Wentz also had a rushing touchdown, as did King Frazier and Chase Morlock.

South Dakota State was led by quarterback Zach Lujan, who threw for 242 yards and a touchdown in the loss.

The Bison, now 1-0 in the Missouri Valley Conference and 3-1 overall, is back in Fargo next weekend, October 10th, to play Northern Iowa at the FargoDome. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.
