NDSU pride is strong across the state and when it comes to game day at the Fargo Dome, the tailgating scene is among the best in the country.

Recently, Business Insider asked the Founder of TailgateMaster.com to rank the best college tailgates in America.

There were no categories for this list. No separation between FBS and FCS. And the fans of the NDSU Bison earned themselves a spot at No. 4 on the list. LSU came in at No. 1, followed by the University of South Carolina and the University of Mississippi.

North Dakota State even came in well ahead of Michigan, a school with the largest stadium in the country. Michigan stadium seats 111,407 people but their tailgate ranked No. 30.

Penn State, which has the second largest stadium in the country (and is also my alma mater) seats 106,572 at Beaver Stadium. Penn State's tailgate scene was ranked No. 18.

Short blurbs were listed about each tailgate at each school. Here's what they said about NDSU:

"This might be a small school, but the 'strength of the bison is the herd.' Decked out in green and gold, their RVs dominate the parking lots outside the Fargo Dome. Make sure to try the venison!!"

Bison fans must be doing something right to have their tailgate ranked above other powerhouse schools like Alabama, Ohio State, and USC.

Don't drink and drive.
