It would be an understatement to say the Fargodome was rocking on Saturday afternoon, as the North Dakota State Bison had their way with Mississippi Valley State.

The Bison struck early and often as they cruised to a 72-7 victory. They would set a school record for rushing yards with 498 yards on 53 carries (an average of 9.4 yards per attempt).

Easton Stick was more or less, perfect playing only the first half. He was 5 of 5 passing for 100 yards with 2 touchdowns and he also rushed for 53 yards on 2 carries, one of them another touchdown.

The NDSU defense completely shut down any offense the Delta Devils put on the field, allowing just 58 yards total, including -31 yards rushing. The Bison produced 683 total yards of offense.

NDSU started off their route with a 47-yard touchdown from Stick to RJ Urzendowski. It was the first of two first quarter TDs for Urzendowski. He finished with 73 yards receiving on three catches. The Bison scoring was just getting started as they would score touchdowns on their next five possessions.

Stick ran in an 8-yard score, followed by a 24-yard touchdown run by Lance Dunn. A safety and the second touchdown reception from Urzendowski made it a 30-0 lead by the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Ty Brooks ran in two scores from 6 yards and 36 yards out as the lead was 44-7 by halftime. The Bison continued to pour it on in the second half, highlighted by a 73-yard touchdown run by Dunn in the first minute of the third quarter. Dunn finished with 142 yards on 7 carries, along with his two touchdowns. Brooks finished with 127 yards on 11 carries, and his two scores.

#2 NDSU (1-0) will play #5 Eastern Washington on the road next week at 3:05 p.m.
