The MTV Awards are on August 27 and a music video created in protest of the Dakota Access Pipeline is up for an award.

The music video which can be viewed above was created by the 'Taboo of Black Eyed Peas,' along with the 'Magnificent Seven.' Both bands are comprised of various Native Americans from different tribes.

Actress Shailene Woodley makes an appearance in the music video. She was an outspoken critic of the Dakota Access Pipeline and was arrested while protesting at Standing Rock.

A new category was added to this year's award show called, 'Best Fight Against the System.' The video, titled "Stand Up / Stand N Rock #NoDAPL," was nominated in that category.

Five other music videos are also up for the award. You can see them here.
