It is approaching quickly-Aerosmith at the North Dakota State Fair. But, many moons ago, I had the exciting honor of meeting Aerosmith backstage at the Fargodome.

I have been a huge Aerosmith fan since growing up on my family farm back in Elgin in the 80's.

Being in the radio industry has given me plenty of opportunities to meet amazing bands and artists. I was one psyched gal when I realized I was going to meet them back in the late 90's but their were a few hiccups in the road before that could happen.

About a week before the Fargodome show, Steven Tyler hurt his knee on stage and they had to postpone the show in Fargo. I was so devastated. But, months later, it was time for the show I had been waiting for and they did not disappoint!

The show was amazing and, of course, Aerosmith sounded tremendous and played all the classics and new favorites. The highlight of the show was going backstage to meet the entire band. Everyone from the band was great and I got a lot of autographs.

I have seem them in concert a few more times since then and it is always a good time. I love all their songs but some of my favorites are 'Dream On,' 'Walk this Way,' 'Sweet Emotion,' 'Crying,' 'Angel,' 'What it Takes,' 'Train Kept a Rolling,' 'Pink,' etc.

As the State Fair show approaches, I encourage everyone to check out the band that I consider one of my favorites: Aerosmith. Get your tickets for the show at NDStateFair.com.
