Montana Filmmakers Asking for Funding for Northern Plains Documentary [VIDEO]

A group of filmmakers from Montana have set up a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to make a documentary on life in the Northern Plains.

Here's a short description of the 'High Plains Heritage Project':

The High Plains Heritage Project is a distinctly local effort driven by our interest in the changing social and cultural landscape of eastern Montana and western North Dakota.

We're hitting the road for three weeks to meet people, invest time in communities, and gather stories from residents living in areas affected by the current oil boom. We will introduce you to the region by releasing photos, videos and writing so that viewers will come to know the people and places along with us.

The final result of the footage, audio recordings, and photographs will be a documentary film set to a soundtrack composed and performed by regional musicians. Our goal is to document this changing region with an engaging film that we’ll also distribute as an educational resource for schools and museums. That's why we're using a "buy one, give one" DVD distribution model (see the $50 Pledge reward for details).
