Let this be a lesson to all you would-be burglars out there: Get in, take what you want, and get out. Don't, I repeat DON'T, take a moment to check your social media page while you're in the house you're robbing.

That's what one Minnesota man did late last week, which led to his subsequent arrest.

Nick Wig was arrested Thursday morning, after breaking into a house south of Minneapolis. What led to Wig being ID'd as the suspect? He checked his Facebook page, according to Monica Jensen, spokesperson for the Dakota County Attorney's Office:

This is a first case in Dakota County in which a suspected burglar left his Facebook profile on the computer screen of the victim’s computer.

The victim came home to find cash, a checkbook, credit cards, keys, and a watch missing. He also found his computer open and the Facebook page of someone named 'Nick Dub' up on the screen. 'Nick Dub', of course, would later be identified as Nick Wig.

According to WVEC.com, Wig has been charged with burglary in the second degree. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in jail and up to $20,000 in fines.

He also face years of ridicule for being the dumbass that logged in to Facebook during a robbery attempt.
