With a new stadium on the way, the city of Minneapolis has put in a bid to host the 2017 College Football Playoff Championship game, according to the Star Tribune.

Five other cities submitted bids to host the game, including Jacksonville, Tampa, Miami, San Antonio, and Santa Clara. While those games would all be outdoor games, Minneapolis would host the game in the new, indoor Vikings Stadium.

The winning bid should be announced in November.
