The members of Metallica have been an active part of California’s Bay Area community for decades — and they’re demonstrating their commitment once again by headlining an upcoming benefit concert to help victims of the wildfires that recently gutted the region.

Called “Band Together,” the show — scheduled for Nov. 9 at AT&T Park in San Francisco — boasts a bill that’s top-lined by Metallica and the Dave Matthews Band, with support from Oakland rapper G-Eazy “and more friends to be announced soon.” Announcing the concert through its official site, the band wrote, “We’re extremely saddened by the suffering that so many are feeling in the Bay Area, but are also inspired by the enormous outpouring of love and support from all around the country and want to jump in and help in the way we know how to – through music!”

According to Metallica’s announcement, all the funds from ticket sales have been earmarked for Tipping Point Community, a local organization dedicated to fighting poverty in the region. Tipping Point has set up an emergency relief fund, with an emphasis on aiding “low-income, vulnerable communities impacted by the crisis, including vineyard workers, immigrants, displaced young people and students.”

Ticket sales are set to begin Oct. 26 through a special pre-sale for members of the band’s fan club, and fans who aren’t able to attend but would still like to help are encouraged to donate to Tipping Point directly — or Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation.
