It's exactly what it sounds like. Mayonnaise + Ketchup = Mayochup.

For those who love their condiments, it's up to you to decide if you would like Heinz to combine Mayonnaise and Ketchup into a new product known as 'Mayochup.' They took their idea to Twitter to see what consumers think.

Heinz Mayochup is currently sold overseas in some countries within the Middle East. However, as the tweet says, should they reach 500,000 'yes' votes, the condiment will be on its way to store shelves in the U.S.

As of 5 p.m. CST today (April 14th), out of approximately 924,657 total votes, 55 percent have voted 'yes.' That means that they have already eclipsed the 500,000 mark with approximately 508,561 'yes' votes. If they go through with it bringing Mayochup to the U.S., it's only a matter of time before it hits supermarkets in North Dakota.

I, for one, am in favor of it. I happen to like the combination of ketchup and mayo on my burger. When I cook burgers at home, and by cooking, I mean throwing a frozen burger patty on my George Foreman Grill, I mix ketchup and mayo on my burger all the time. Who knows? It could be the next big thing...Or maybe you just think it's gross altogether.

Regardless, it looks like Heinz is bringing Mayochup to the U.S. and to your local North Dakota supermarket.
