April arrives next week and with it brings autism awareness month. It is a month where we bring awareness to families and individuals on the autism spectrum. April 2nd is a very important day, a day where we ask everyone to "Light It Up Blue."

It is a day of world wide recognition where everyone is encouraged to wear blue and many buildings and landmarks around the world with be lit up with blue lights. You can do the same by simply replacing your outdoor lights with blue bulbs.

Locally on April 2nd the North Dakota Autism Connection will be be having an open house at the Bismarck Memorial Public Library between 6-8 p.m.

There will be games, speakers, answer and question period and a great way to connect with other families.

Wear blue, bring the entire family and help bring awareness and support to those struggling with autism.

If you would like to connect with other families dealing with autism find us on Facebook at BisMan Autism Families or via e-mail at BMAF@gmail.com
