The Vikings playoff hopes are starting to slip away.

It was a hard fought defensive battle and in the end, the Seahawks came away victorious.

The Vikings lost to the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football 21-7 in a defensive battle that started the 4th quarter with the Seahawks leading 6-0.  It was 2 really good defenses doing what they do best. The Seahawks, defending the pass and the Vikings holding stout in the red zone. Kirk Cousins was running for his life last night every time he dropped back to throw mainly because the Vikings did nothing to establish a consistent running game.

There was a play though, in the 4th quarter that had everyone's head-scratching. With 6 minutes to go, and the Seahawks leading 6-0 Bobby Wagner used leverage on his own players to hurdle the Vikings line and block the FG. The Referee threw the flag but then picked the flag up and called no foul. Subsequently, the Seahawks ran the ball in the end zone 3 plays later and that was the game.

Here's the reaction from the players last night:

K Dan Bailey

LB Anthony Barr

S Anthony Harris

QB Kirk Cousins
