With one second left on the clock, South Dakota State quarterback Taryn Christion threw a two-yard touchdown pass to Jake Wieneke to give the Jackrabbits a 19-17 win over North Dakota State in Fargo.

After both teams failed to score in the first quarter, the Bison were able to get on the board first when quarterback Easton Stick ran it in from one-yard out to give his team a 7-0 lead in the second quarter.

SDSU kicker Chase Vinatieri responded with a 38-yard field goal. Bison kicker Cam Pederson followed that up with a 49-yard field goal of his own to give NDSU a 10-3 lead heading into halftime.

Stick opened up the second half with another touchdown run, this time from 26 yards out, to extend the Bison's lead to 17-3. Unfortunately, that would be the last time the Bison would put points on the scoreboard.

A 12-yard touchdown pass from Christion to Dallas Goedert helped bring the Jackrabbits to within a touchdown, 17-10, heading into the fourth quarter.

Vinatieri added a second field goal from 42-yards out to bring the Jackrabbits within four and, with just one second left on the clock, Christion's second touchdown pass of the game gave SDSU the 19-17 win.

Stick led the Bison with 143 yards in the air and 86 yards on the ground, including two touchdowns. Running back King Frazier added 45 yards on the ground in the loss.

The loss to the Jackrabbits is the Bison's first of 2016. Next up, it's a trip to Western Illinois on October 22nd. Kickoff is at 6 p.m.
