North Dakota's Kat Perkins made history Wednesday night, August 3rd, when she became the first person to ever sing the National Anthem inside the new home of the Minnesota Vikings, U.S. Bank Stadium.

Perkins was on hand to sing the National Anthem before an International Champions Cup soccer match between Chelsea and AC Milan.

According to The Star Tribune, more than 55,000 tickets were sold to the event. You can see Perkins perform the National Anthem below:

Originally from Scranton, Perkins performed in bands all over the state of North Dakota before advancing to the semifinals on the sixth season of 'The Voice' in 2013.

Earlier this summer, Perkins hosted her own 'Badlands Rising Star Camp' in Medora, which gave attendees the opportunity to perform on the stage of the Burning Hills Amphitheater, a place where the singer had performed herself many times before.

Perkins is scheduled to perform at the Better Stone Amphitheater in Mankato, Minnesota Friday night, August 5th, according to her official website.
