There's been a viral video sweeping the internet but I'm confused on how you get the Yanny sound. 

The viral post clearly says laurel but in some way the way the sound file is produced, Yanny is interpreted by some people. I'm still trying to figure it out though.

Some scientists say that it's in the biological interpretation of the sounds that were produced in a certain way. And younger people hear one thing while older people hear another.

Another theory from the publication The Atlantic is the pitch of the sound is the difference in the two words.

There is a theory that women hear at a higher pitch than men do and that might also attribute the difference between words as well.
