This past Saturday, The band Hairball invaded the Bismarck event center. I was skeptical.  Boy, was I wrong!

In the year that I have been Bismarck, I have never seen the event center rock like it did this past Saturday night.  I'm sure it has for country shows but I haven't been to one yet.

I got familiar with the concept of the fact that Hairball covers a wide variety of rock while changing costumes between songs, but seeing how seamlessly they do it in the middle of the show was truly a trip.

It was weird. I thought I was coming to see a band, but what I really was seeing was a celebration of all things metal.  They did 2 songs per band covered and changed the set cosmetically while one of the musicians were in a solo. The lead singer also changed costumes pretty quickly.

The place was packed and it was a 3 and a half hour party.  So glad I went.
