Funeral For Model’s Son To Be Held in ND

The son of a former Playboy centerfold, who died with his mother in an apparent suicidal leap from a New York high-rise, will be laid to rest in North Dakota.

The Fargo Forum reports that services for seven year-old Vincent Nicolai will take place this Friday in the town of New Rockford.

The boy died May 18 after leaping with his mother from the 25th floor of a Manhattan hotel. His mother, Stephanie Adams, was a former Playboy "Playmate" appearing in the magazine's centerfold in 1992.

The boys parents were reported to be in the midst of an ugly custody battle. Earlier this month, the divorced couple had appeared in court where the boy's father filed for sole custody.

Vincent's father, Charles Nikolai, has family roots in North Dakota. One brother is a chiropractor and the other serves under the state Attorney General.

The Grand Forks Herald published the boy's obituary. New Rockford is in eastern North Dakota, north of Jamestown.
