Fort Abraham Lincoln “Light up the Blockhouse Hike” Shines on Sunday December 13th

The holiday spirit is in the air, how about spreading some Christmas cheer and taking a hike at the same time? Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park celebrates the season with the "Light up the Blockhouse Hike" on Sunday December 13th.

The Hike will begin at 5:00pm and will complete with the lighting of the Infantry post Blockhouse at 5:30pm.

Those interested in joining should meet at the park’s Valley Picnic Shelter, the guided hike will follow the Young Hawk Trail up to the Infantry Post where staff have decorated the blockhouse and will light it up at 5:30 p.m.

Be sure to dress for the weather and the hike is less than a mile with hot chocolate served after the lighting ceremony.

Event is FREE with a ND State Parks Annual Pass, or $5 per vehicle at the entrance.

The blockhouse will be beautiful when the lights are shinning!
