Dennis Green, who coached the Minnesota Vikings from 1992 to 2001, has passed away. He was 67.

According to ESPN, Green died after a cardiac arrest. The former coach's death was confirmed by his former agent, Ray Anderson.

Green became the fifth coach in Minnesota Vikings history on January 10th, 1992, according to Wikipedia. Prior to coming to Minnesota, Green was the head coach at Stanford University.

During his tenure in Minnesota, the Vikings finished first in the NFC Central four different times. Green also led the team to the playoffs in all but two seasons, 1995 and 2001.

After leaving Minnesota, Green became the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, where he spent three seasons.

The Minnesota Vikings posted the following tweet after learning of Green's death:

Green is survived by his wife, Marie, and two sons, Zack and Jeremy.
