Obituaries are often used to look back on the life our dearly departed. Douglas Legler, of Fargo, wanted none of that in his obituary, though, and that's exactly what he got.

Legler passed away on June 27th and his obituary was recently published by InForum:

"He said over and over, when I die I want my obituary to just say 'Doug Died,' " says Janet Stoll, Legler's daughter.

Has there ever been a more simple obituary? 'Doug died.' That's it, that's all it says.

For what it's worth, Legler did live a long, storied life, according to InForum. He spent time as a driver, a vending machine repairman, and a farm equipment painter.

As evident from his obituary, he was also quite the jokester. R.I.P. Doug.
