This is the story of a really bad egg. A Bismarck man was charged this week with throwing eggs at a number of vehicles in the area.

And his names is - we're not making this up - Benedict.

The Bismarck Tribune says Benedict Ponzer is charged with "felony criminal mischief" in connection with the egging of cars in the city last month.

Police say over twenty people called in complaints on June 18, that their vehicles had been egged. Pioneer Elementary School also reported an egging. The police say the damage totaled over three thousand dollars.

Bismarck Police reviewed a surveillance video from the school and noted a Ford Escort wagon in the parking lot. Officers say they contacted Benedict Ponzer who initially gave conflicting stories before fessing up.

Mr. Ponzer admitted that he and two friends threw eggs at vehicles around the city. He appeared in District Court this week, where the judge set his bail at $500.

And that's no yolk.
