Carson Wentz may be the happiest quarterback in the NFL after the first day of free agency in the NFL.

After making a move to sign a big name wide receiver like Torrey Smith earlier in the day, the Philadelphia Eagles made the move on another. Alshon Jeffery will be a new target for Carson Wentz in the Eagles offense.

Jeffery signs for one year, $14 million. Last season, the former Chicago Bears receiver caught 52 passes for 821 yards in 12 games, while playing with three different starting quarterbacks. Jeffery also had big years in both 2013 and 2014 as he combined the two seasons for 2,554 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Carson Wentz will now have a couple of big targets to throw at that have certainly been known to spread the field in previous seasons with the acquisitions of both Smith and Jeffery.
