An adult shepherd cross was found stabbed multiple times Sunday morning, March 22nd, just a few miles southwest of Horace, North Dakota.

According to Valley News Live, someone who lives in the area discovered the dog Sunday morning, with four stab wounds from a 6-8 inch long object.

The dog, now named Wilford, is currently being cared for by 4 Luv of Dog Rescue, which serves the Fargo-Moorhead area.

Authorities are looking for any information regarding who might have committed this heinous act. The case remains under investigation.
