Detroit TV Station Confuses Nelson Mandela with A-Rod

News outlets across the world spend yesterday afternoon covering the death of Nelson Mandela. The majority of those outlets managed to not screw up the coverage. One station in Detroit is not in the majority.

WDIV, in Detroit, Michigan, somehow confused Nelson Mandela with steroid-loving baseball star Alex Rodriguez in one of their graphics.

I could see potentially confusing Morgan Freeman and Nelson Mandela. I mean, Freeman DID play Mandela in the movie 'Invictus' back in 2009, and the two do look somewhat similar.

A-Rod, though? No. I can't even fathom how the station confused Mandela with A-Rod. Can anyone?
