A new curbside recycling program is set to be introduced in Bismarck after the Bismarck City Commission approved the program Tuesday.

Residents can choose to take part in the program and pay a $3.51 recycling fee or they can opt out of the service. Every two weeks, residents will be able to bring their recyclables to the curbside to be picked up by Waste Management. The city will accept the following recyclable materials: aluminum, tin, and steel cans, plastic, glass bottles and jars, junk and office mail, magazines, newspapers, catalogs, corrugated cardboard boxes, cereal boxes, gift boxes, milk cartons, juice cartons, and soup cartons.

So, will you take part in Bismarck's new recycling program or will you opt out? Do you feel like this is just another unnecessary tax? We want to hear from you.
